Joseph Hunter
Test Baseball is proud to announce Joseph Hunter. Originally from Memphis, TN., Joseph started his baseball
career at Germantown High School in Memphis. Where he was part of the 2001 State Championship team. Ranked
3rd in the nation that year, Joseph was a finalist for National Freshman of the year, also captured all-district, all-
Shelby County and all-state tournament honors. Hunter was tabbed MVP of state tournament, hitting .900 (9-for-
10),with a 1.700 Slugging percentage. He was also selected to play for the Tournament of Stars/USA Trails. While in
High School, Hunter was part of 3 National Championship Teams. A highly recruited outfielder, Joseph signed with
Mississippi State University. He went on to become a 4-year starter for Mississippi State, where they went on to
win the SEC Championship and held the #1 ranking according to Baseball America Magazine for the 2006 season.
Drafted in 2005 by the Indians, Joseph opted to return for his senior season at Mississippi State. He was placed on
the Top 100 Baseball Players in the country and was placed on the Wallace Award Watch List. He was also honored
as an Pre-Season All-American for the 2006 season. Joseph was again drafted after his 2006 season and signed with
the Chicago White Sox. He played 2 seasons for the White Sox before retiring.
Mr. Hunter’s coaching resume is extensive. Coaching for the Dulin Dodgers out of Memphis TN. for 10+ years his
teams have won several national championships. Working with the mechanical and mental approach of the game,
Joseph offers a wealth of knowledge and experience for player of all ages. He specializes in hitting and fielding
instruction.
With an abundant of contacts and relationships in the SEC and around the country, Joseph will also work closely
with Test’s college recruiting group to help place players at the ‘next level’ given each players talents.
